Hello my loves, I'm Taylor.
I'm so happy you're here.
Life takes you for a ride, doesn't it? a little about me. I became a mommy at 18 and now have four beautiful babies. At 22 I lost my spleen which taught me not to take my health—or the little everyday moments—for granted.
That journey sparked a passion for nourishing myself as holistically as possible so, around here, you'll find easy recipes, DIYs, slow motherhood inspiration, beauty and wellness.
The heart behind this blog, though, goes much deeper.
After losing two of my siblings, I felt a desire to create something that would outlive me—a place to capture my thoughts, memories, grief, lessons, and the beautiful, ordinary moments of life. A place my children can always come back to.
The name Layne holds a special place in my heart because it was my sister's name. And my brother Zachary was a force to be reckon with. He loved reminding me that I "needed to get a life," So... here I am. Building one. While smiling at the thought that he'd probably tease me about this blog too.
